Harper Lee quote on courage. Taken from “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
26 08 2006“I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It’s when you know you’re licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what.”

I do know one thing and that is Harper Lee had a tough time writing this novel. In fact once on a winters night she got so flustered due to writers block that she pitched the manuscript outside in the cold.
But she called her editor and her editor told her to go pick up the pages outside. Fortunately for us she did!
