  1. God does, indeed, speak to us, as George Washington Carver wrote, if only we will listen.
The very stars proclaim God’s glory. GW Carver was often castigated for his faults, even by Booker T. Washington who was sort of a supervisor of this great, under-rated scientist, educator, role model.
His very life is an example of overcoming obstacles, from his being kidnapped as a child, whooping cough which dibilitated his “constitution” to his actual experiencing of racial discrimination. He is truly an overcomer and an overachiever. Perhaps people are “put upon” by exaggerations of his peanut peopwnsity, but his contributions to education alone place him as a “Giant Among Men”.
